How he plays
Runs, presses, talks, runs again. He is always the nearest teammate to whoever has the ball and the first to stand up for one of his own.
In Aussie and Kiwi terms
Think of the midfielder who tops the running stats every week and still chases in the last minute.
Three things to know
- He has been called Lionel Messi's bodyguard for the way he looked after him on the pitch.
- He made the Copa América Team of the Tournament in both 2021 and 2024.
- He came through at Racing and went back there on loan in 2016.
Watch for this in his game
How much ground he covers. Pick him out for five minutes and count how often he is near the ball.
