How he plays
The quiet one who never seems to have a bad game. Up and down the left side all night, wins his duels, says very little about it.
In Aussie and Kiwi terms
Think of a fullback under the high ball, a key defender who never panics, or a keeper in a shootout.
Three things to know
- He started the 2022 World Cup final.
- He captained Independiente to the 2017 Copa Sudamericana before joining Ajax.
- He won three Dutch league titles with Ajax.
Watch for this in his game
The recovery run. When a winger thinks he is away, look for number 3 arriving.
