How he plays
A striker who works like a midfielder. He chases every defender for 90 minutes and still has the calm to finish first time.
In Aussie and Kiwi terms
Think of a key forward who kicks a bag, or a winger who always finds the corner.
Three things to know
- In under six months he won the World Cup, the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League.
- He comes from Calchín, a town of about 3,000 people in Córdoba province.
- He once scored six goals in one Copa Libertadores match for River.
Watch for this in his game
The press. He sprints at the goalkeeper as if every back-pass is a chance, and sometimes it is.
