How he plays
Never rushed, never flashy. He takes one touch where others take three and the whole team plays faster because of it.
In Aussie and Kiwi terms
Think of a halfback who runs the whole show, or a midfield general who is always one kick ahead.
Three things to know
- His family's roots go back to Ireland, to the village of Donabate near Dublin.
- His father Carlos played for Argentina, and his two brothers are professional footballers too.
- He won the Premier League with Liverpool in 2024–25.
Watch for this in his game
The one-touch pass around the corner. Simple, quick, and it takes two opponents out.
